How to Send Money Without Adding a Payee | Indian UPI

Paypal does not allow payments from one Indian user to another, at least if you’re using USD as the default currency. Therefore, for online users like you and me, another option is a must have. In this tutorial, I will teach you how you can send money in minutes without any hassle to any Indian with a bank account. So, let’s start!

STEP 1

Take you phone and from your registered mobile number, dial *99#. The word “registered” is emboldened because, without this, you will not be able to do anything.

You will soon see the notification that you’re in.

STEP 2

On the next screen, write 1 and click “SEND.” You can do a whole lot of other things there, but that’s not what this tutorial is about. Also, before doing this, make sure you have your personal UPI pin. It’s a password that safeguards you from unauthorised usage of your account and fraud.

STEP 3

In the next screen, the system will show you many ways through which you can send the money. 5 and 6 are the most used. So, here we will go with 5 that is “IFSC code and bank account number.” Type “5” in the empty field and click “send” to go to the next step.

STEP 4

Now, you need to enter the IFSC code of the recipient. It’s mostly the initials of the bank name[For ex: ICIC] followed by three Zeros[000] and the first four numbers of the account number[For ex: 0197]. But, don’t remain in confusion. Go over to this site if you don’t know the IFSC code of your recipient.

So, Type in the IFSC code, say ICIC0000197, and click SEND.

STEP 5

Enter the complete account number of the recipient and click send to go to the next step.

STEP 6

Enter the amount that you want to send and click send.

STEP 7

Enter your UPI key to finish up the transaction.

That’s it! Wasn’t that easy? Tell me about your experience by writing a comment below.
